This 2006 techno mix was released with Mixmag and features a minimal techno mix by Richie Hawtin. It is a solid mix but it is hard (for me at least) to get really stoked about minimal techno. I can appreciate the technical ability that is involved and I think it is cool that lush and intricate music can be created through combining such simplistic elements. I also enjoy dancing out to techno. It seems to inspire quite a variance of dancing styles compared to most other styles of EDM.

This video is not from the album but it is an interesting clip of Hawtin showing off his digital performance setup.

Overall, this is a solid mix. Well constructed, it subtlely morphs throughout. I like it but do not get super stoked on it.
